The week in Rosemead
What moved, what dropped and what changed hands in Rosemead, read the way an inspector reads a house.
The Rosemead file →The largest reduction on the desk was 2702 New — down $35,000, from $830,000 to $795,000, listed by Brother DeGuzman, Broker.
8 listings changed status: 5 sold, 1 active under contract, 1 back on market, 1 coming soon. The brokerage on every row below is the listing brokerage on the record, not ours.
7 homes came to market, asking from $699,000 to $2,300,000.
That is the week, address by address. What any one of these rows means for a house on the same street is the question the file answers next.

NeighbourhoodGarvey
The Garvey Avenue corridor takes its name from Richard Garvey Sr., a U.S. mail rider from 1860 to 1863; the area was ranched and homesteaded after the Mexican government broke up the San Gabriel Mission's land in 1833, and a handful of mobile-home parks along the avenue still trace back to that early homesteading era.
NeighbourhoodSavannah
Rosemead's earliest Anglo-American settlement, founded in 1852 when John and Harriet Guess ox-carted in from Arkansas and later purchased 100 acres they named Savannah; the adjacent Savannah Pioneer Cemetery at Mission Drive and Valley Boulevard, with a first burial in 1846, is reputed to be the oldest Protestant cemetery in Los Angeles County.
